Job Description
Provide analysis and support for the Treasury function, including but not limited to, interest rate risk modeling review and variance analysis, liquidity reporting and contingency planning, investment portfolio analysis, reporting, and review, and ad hoc analysis and reporting as directed. Interface with bank employees to provide market rates, financial reporting information, and resolve analytical issues as they arise.
Maintain and run data queries to prepare quarterly reports for interest rate risk modeling. Compilation and reporting of asset/liability modeling results. Prepare and input data into Liquidity Stress Model & ALM model monthly/quarterly. Build ALCO reports as directed. Serve as primary user/contact for deposit and prepayment analysis tools. Support the production of ALM model simulations (IRR, budgeting, and DFAST).
Ad hoc tasks including:
Peer review regarding interest rate risk, liquidity, and deposit cost metrics, etc.
Train and become fully functional in identification and pledging of collateral to the Federal Reserve Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank.
Price and submit bids for municipal bond anticipation note activities.
Production of data-intensive projects that involve reviewing, scrubbing, and mining of large amounts of data.
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.
Respond to regulatory and internal audit exam requests as needed. Maintain Treasury documents including departmental policies, procedures, contingency plans, SOX controls, etc.
Provide support for daily treasury and cash management operations as well as foreign exchange monitoring as directed. Provide support in analyzing securities for purchase/sale activity. Monitor CRA investments for compliance with policies.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business required
• 0-2 years of treasury or finance experienceIndependently motivated with aptitude to perform highly-detailed and precise work within multiple deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with fluency in Excel
• Ability to learn and become well-versed in software programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively interact with people inside and outside the organization
• Solid knowledge of cash management and banking preferred
• Ability to working in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines
• Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic
