Position Description

The Investment Manager Services Unit has an opportunity for a Reconciliation Specialist to support their Reconciliation Administration Team. This would be a dedicated resource to support the solutions and technology services for this team. This role would drive the development and continuous maintenance of technology solutions for the team. This role will work with the Reconciliation Administration and Product Solutions teams to identify, develop and implement technology based solutions to increase operational efficiency, improve accuracy and mitigate operational risk. This role requires a self-motivated, goal-oriented individual to manage multiple tasks in a time sensitive delivery schedule.
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to some or all of the following
•Support and manage the implementation of workflow tool
•Build macros to support manual reconciliations
•Partner and work with Solutions on CARS enhancements
oSupport build out the new version
oAssist with scoping requirements
oCreate interfaces to assist trouble shooting
•Coordinate all technology related on-boarding activities for new clients
oManage the administrative rights for entitlements within Frontier
•Support and manage metrics reporting
oHigh-level management reporting to share with
sr. management
oFocus on granular detail on specific tasks or
analysts to measure efficiency
•Work with Solutions to institutionalize Macros
•Facilitate the process for moving tasks / responsibilities Offshore
oLead Conference Calls
oProvide Metrics to Offshore Team
oPlay a part in a possible visit to Offshore
partners
•Participate in the management of the Offshore Teams
oTraining and Procedures
oCreating the Plan
oSetting Expectations
Additional responsibilities as needed:
• Communication with outside third party brokers and custodians to obtain client account data
• Ensure that all outside data is received and processed
• Oversee and ensure all scheduled tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Ensure internal and external clients receive all reconciliation output by the designated SLA’s
• Manage and resolve internal and external client issues and inquiries
• Assist in setting up new funds or clients in the Recon System
• Support problem and error resolution on a timely basis
• Ensure all established processing procedures and controls are completed accurately and timely on a daily basis, including daily pricing procedures as well as daily trade processing
• Participate in team projects
Position Requirements
•BA/BS degree preferably in Accounting, Finance or business related field; or the equivalent in education and work experience
•Minimum 2 years' experience in financial services required
•Experience with Advent Geneva and Frontier systems preferred
•Proficient with Excel, SQL, Access, Bloomberg, and reporting tools (JIRA) a plus
•Strong organizational and analytical skills
•Detail oriented
•Team Player
•Flexible with initiative to drive change
•Ability to work under pressure
•Proven project management experience
•Excellent Interpersonal and communications skills
•Excellent problem solving skills
•Must be willing to work effectively independently, as well as in a team, in an open floor environment
•Ability to work an early shift as needed (7:30am - 4:00pm, etc.)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the work environment may require an individual to move around the office and from building to building which may expose the individual to weather conditions outside. The individual has to be able to sit or be stationary at a computer and use computers for extended periods of time and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The noise level in the environment is moderate and the individual must be able to communicate and exchange information with people in person and over the telephone and email.
