Job Description
Responsible for the management and oversight of risk and the control environment relating to the Finance areas, including oversight of compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) through all departments in the Company.
Job Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the execution of the Company’s SOX program, including risk assessments, process walk-throughs, deficiency assessments, and SOX 302 certifications
• Assess, manage, and improve (where appropriate) the controls and control environment for all Finance groups in coordination with other Finance managers
• Test processes and controls for all Finance areas to give assurance to management that the operation is working effectively and appropriately
• Oversee and assess the implementation of new transactions through accounting and financial reporting to ensure that reporting is being done correctly
• Manage communication and transmission of information with internal and external auditors for all Finance areas
• Manage and approve reporting from Finance areas to the Company’s governance committees and boards
• Develop and manage a team of finance professionals
• Remain up to date on all accounting guidance changes or technical requirements for SOX
• Work and communicate effectively and collaboratively with personnel in other departments, outside service providers and other business partners.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Preferred Qualifications
Skills & Abilities Required:
• Bachelor's Degree
• CPA with 15+ years of work experience
• Working and up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting rules and concepts
• Ability to understand and assess controls and control environments, including knowledge of the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
• Financial Services experience required; mortgage banking knowledge a plus
