Weichert Property Management is hiring a Business Development Specialist at our Corporate Headquarters in Morris Plains, NJ. The Business Development Specialist is responsible for performing business development, sales, and consulting functions in order to cross-sell property management services across the corporate and retail sectors. The position is expected to achieve specific revenue and profitability targets for new/existing accounts within the sales region on an annual basis. The position also assists with the development of branding, marketing, and training materials to support business development initiatives.
We are looking for both licensed, experienced sales professionals as well as those interested in exploring a sales career in the property management industry. We would prefer someone with a college degree, and someone with customer-facing business experience. This candidate must also have the drive and determination to be part of our winning family of companies. We can teach the rest!!!
Job requirements include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Continuously prospects new accounts within an assigned sales region. Follows sales goals and target market criteria that have been established for the region.
• Employs regular prospecting activities such as cold calling, needs assessments, direct mail campaigns, sales presentations, technology demonstrations, promotional items, and client forums.
• Utilizes extensive knowledge of Weichert's services and systems to consult with prospective clients and propose solutions that will best meet their needs and objectives.
• Acts as a main point of contact for new clients. Assists with the client implementation/onboarding process.
• Establishes long term relationships with prospective clients through understanding their business needs and providing appropriate solutions.
• Negotiates acceptable/desirable property management services, agreements, terms, and fees with new clients.
• Acts as a key contributor to the development of Weichert branding, marketing, and training materials.
• Provides training to Sales Associates regarding property management services and processes.
• Provides timely communication with respect to calls, meetings, status, and projected volume of each prospect in their region.
• Responsible for coordinating, lecturing, and/or attending industry specific events in order to promote property management services.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
