Skills/Qualifications:
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience in workers’ compensation, health care, insurance, rehabilitation, sports medicine, or claims management.
• Above average computer skills, specifically Word, Excel, Internet, Imaging, and database.
• Strong written/verbal communication that enhances our customer service standards
• Strong administrative abilities of organization, time management, and multi-tasking
• Strong problem solving, decision making, and judgement skills
• Excellent knowledge of FMLA rules and policies, medical terminology, coding and State regulations and procedures.
• Strong working knowledge of STD, LTD and Workers’ Compensation as it relates to FMLA coordination.
Duties:
• Maintain customer satisfaction by serving as primary contact for designated group of employers to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Have the ability to handle claims of complex employers and/or a higher volume of claims, while providing exceptional customer service to employers, Brokers and third parties with specific concerns of issues including, but not limited to, monitoring claims that are currently on leave.
• Troubleshoot employer issues and handle “special” employers as deemed by the Management Team
• Participate in new client implementations when needed
• Handle employer customer service related issues when assigned
• Attend employer visits as directed
• Assist fellow Specialists in preparing claims reviews for employer meetings
• Act as a primary contact for Employers and Account Executives on caseloads being covered due to disability leave or open positions
• Support Absence management services by:
• Processing certification packets based on AMD Protocol.
• Entering data and maintaining timely updates of information into caseworks system
• Verifying return to work or remain at work status and treatment plan based on certification forms
• All updates to Case Status in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
• Maintain acceptable quality standards in all areas.
• Identify areas for quality improvement and make recommendations to supervisor.
• Assist team in meeting operational performance goals.
• Support team environment and Company goals and objectives.
• Act as mentor for team if/when needed
