Description
Summary:Collegiate Peaks Bank, a division of Glacier Bank is searching for a candidate that would like to join a highly profitable and growing bank. The ideal candidate for the proposed position is an individual that is highly detail oriented, organized, and has an understanding of mathematical formulas and valuations associated with appraisals, borrowing base certificates and covenant compliance reports. The individual candidate would fulfill a bridge between loan production and credit risk administration.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
• In anticipation of renewals and extensions, candidate will review loan files to determine a needs list prior to underwriting.
• Review residential and commercial appraisals to ensure accuracy, USPAP and FIRREA compliance, data integrity and appropriate usage of market assumptions.
• Review and summarize commercial environmental reports such as Transaction Screen Assessments, Phase I and Phase II reports and their respective findings.
• Review, understand and critique both attorney prepared and Laser Pro loan documents prior to closing.
• Collect, review and summarize income statements, balance sheets and other periodical financial reporting from large complex borrowing entities and sponsors.
• Review Borrowing Base Certificates, Covenant Compliance Certificates and Commercial Construction Draw requests to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Review insurance coverage for new and existing loans.
• Review HMDA documentation after initial gathering by Loan Assistant.
• Review and recommend action plans on all 90-day plus loan exceptions.
• Help facilitate the underwriting of commercial loan requests, both new and renewals.
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or economics preferred;
• One to three years of commercial credit analysis experience preferred;Ability to read and understand individual and business tax returns, audited or reviewed financial statements, and company prepared profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and statement of cash flows preferred;
• Must be able to effectively communicate using the written format;
• Must be willing and able to master a proprietary underwriting system;
• Must have the ability to function without daily oversight; must be self-motivated and self-disciplined;
• Must have excellent organizational skills to manage the underwriting of several loans concurrently;
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel;
• Must be willing and comfortable to join lending officers in meetings with existing or prospective bank customers, when necessary;
• Must be able to multi-task, be flexible, and able to function with frequent interruptions
COMPENSATION:Salary is negotiable depending upon relevant experience.
