Description
The Cash Banking Specialist is part of a team responsible for the operational functions of banking credits and debits for insureds and agents.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Accurately enter or update insured and agent ACH payment information on internal system and/or bank websites.
• Upload daily ACH files on bank websites
• Enter electronic funding transactions (ACH and Wire) on bank websites
• Pull various reports from bank websites to work, or distribute within company.
• Pull and work various reports from internal system
• Assist in researching and resolving items in general ledger accounts, including processing necessary entries to clear outstanding items.
• Monitor and process internal and external requests received in the department e-mail timely and accurately
• Respond to requests for information from various internal and external parties
• Perform other duties as assigned to balance workload or assist the department and provide backup for other positions, including the Cash Processing and Cash Disbursement teams.

• Basic understanding of finance and accounting principles and procedures.
• Ability to interpret, organize, analyze and accurately report financial data
• Ability to gain and apply knowledge of systems and procedures in assigned area of responsibility
• Proficient computer skills with demonstrated ability to use advanced techniques in spreadsheet, database, and word processing software
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions, complete multiple tasks with minimal errors and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both orally and written
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with people of all skill levels and diverse backgrounds

Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or the equivalent in business-related work experience
