Job Title: Financial Associate
Job Description: The Real Estate (“RE”) Finance Investor Reporting Group services investors in our real estate funds through various financial reporting responsibilities.
Primary job responsibilities include:
• Various quarterly investor reporting responsibilities, including LP capital account statements and quarterly investor letters
• Involvement with SEC financial reporting for Blackstone ‐ preparing deliverables for quarterly reporting
• Preparing/reviewing quarterly ad hoc templates for investors
• Assisting with various investor relations deliverables including fund level track records, TEV analysis, cash flows, invested/committed capital, and geographic/sector allocation metrics
• Preparing LP performance summaries for senior management meetings with investors
• Assisting with LP cash flow projections
• Preparing/reviewing capital call notices
• Responding to numerous other ad hoc investor emails on a daily basis
• Interfacing with members of the firm’s global real estate group, marketing department, accounting group, legal/compliance department and other groups within the firm
Qualifications:
Ideal candidate would have a commitment to excellence in their work product, strong time management skills, and a desire to learn.
Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting with strong GPA
• 4‐6 years of related experience (private equity experience a plus)
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills
• Extremely detail‐oriented
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects
• Highly proficient in Excel. Strong working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint
• Highly motivated and intelligent with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong work ethic; genuine passion for excellence
• Personal and professional integrity of the highest order
