Our Client Analytics team, a part of the North American Distribution (NAD) organization, was formed and is continuing to grow to create a dedicated sales support team with a common set of quantitative/asset allocation tools and philosophy to improve the effectiveness of the services that we provide today to strategic clients in three areas:
• Sales support
◦ Help clients arrange our investment services in a portfolio or plan
◦ Better position Capital Group offerings in our top retail and institutional clients' frameworks
• Insights development
• Product development support
As a Senior Client Analytics Specialist based in Los Angeles, you will play a key role on the Client
Analytics team to deliver analysis and insights for Capital Group's clients. You will consult with internal and external clients to provide quantitatively-driven strategies and recommendations that position Capital Group offerings in client portfolios. You will serve as a subject matter expert providing direction and leadership on broader asset classes and investment vehicles.
Responsibilities:
• Conducts quantitative research and analysis, often complex in nature
◦ Conducts research to support white paper insights on a variety of client solution topics.
◦ Develops analyses and models that combine Capital Group services to meet client goals and constraints.
◦ Provides quantitative and qualitative research to support recommendations for new products and services.
◦ Conducts analysis for complex client portfolio requests and internal initiatives.
• Consults with internal and external clients on projects, interpreting complex requests and presenting research and recommendations
◦ Informs and educates internal groups and external clients on quantitative analysis and research findings. Presents in person, over the phone or through writing.
◦ Serves as a point of contact for multiple departments on queries related to client portfolio construction and analysis.
◦ Develops marketing messaging, sales force training content and materials.
◦ Presents content to sales force, internal partners and external clients.
• Provides leadership for the Client Analytics team
◦ Provides direction to other associates and assists them in completing assignments.
◦ Performs quality checks and verifies the accuracy of work prepared by other associates.
◦ Participates in the training and development of other associates. Provides feedback to managers regarding special training requirements.
◦ Identifies, recommends and implements process improvements.
Qualifications:
• 8-10+ years of experience in asset allocation / multiple asset class analysis
• Business, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Math or Engineering degree required; Advanced degree preferred
• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity and initiative by identifying issues and recommending solutions
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of portfolio analysis methods, asset classes and investment vehicles, and modern portfolio theory; exhibits knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting the department/business area
• Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of asset allocation software
• Demonstrates ability to lead and manage projects within the team as well as the ability to collaborate and develop/maintain working relationships to enable effective completion of business objectives
• Effective written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders
• Experience with institutional investors preferred
• One or more of the following credentials preferred: CFA, CIMA, CFP, CPWA
