Description
Our Audit Section Manager will supervise and lead the planning, execution, and reporting of the BSA/AML/OFAC audit and related projects. The Audit Section Manager can expect to lead other audit projects within the Corporate Risk Management segment.
You will:
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of BSA regulatory compliance requirements and initiatives through leadership of effective BSA audits.
• Develop and execute or supervise audit testing procedures to ensure the adequacy of the system of internal controls related to BSA governance and operations, including:
◦ BSA Risk Assessment
◦ BSA Compliance Program
◦ Customer Identification Program
◦ Customer and Enhanced Due Diligence
◦ Suspicious Activity Reporting
◦ Currency Transaction Reporting
◦ Office of Foreign Assets Control
• Interact with and develop business relationships with BSA senior management during audit engagements.
• Work with other Internal Audit teams to coordinate BSA integrated testing.
• Evaluate audit results to determine if issues exist and formal findings are necessary, and communicate results with various levels of management.
• Develop and execute continuous auditing and monitoring program.
• Coach and develop audit team members.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of experience that may be a combination of audit, business segment and risk experience, but must include 3 years' experience in audit and experience with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations and managing or auditing their risks.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills -- Must be able to effectively communicate issues and concerns to various levels within Huntington including executive management.
• Excellent project management skills -- Must be organized, detail oriented and able to work well under deadlines.
• Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities -- Must be able to accomplish goals through influence management and motivation.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills are essential.
• Comfortable working in a team environment and supervising staff.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Professional certification (CAMS, CPA, CIA, etc.) or progress toward certification preferred.
