The Regional Claims Manager will provide direction, coordination and control for the effective operation of the Eastern Claims Satellite Center. The Regional Claims Manager will have direct supervision of Claims Counsel who are responsible for investigating, managing and handling claims to resolution. The Regional Claims Manager reports to the Eastern Claims Center Director.
•Manage the satellite claims center and satellite resource allocations, staffing, training, career development and performance evaluations
•Manage and/or oversee all major claims; provide advice on case strategy, resolution and coverage decisions
•As needed, manage an assigned Case load performing the duties of Senior or Lead Claims Counsel
•Implement company procedures for claims administration and oversees compliance with those procedures
Job Qualifications:
•Law Degree required
•Admitted to practice law in US Licensed to practice law in good standing
•Minimum 6 years relevant professional experience in title insurance/title underwriting and in depth knowledge on title insurance claims and resolution and up to two years in second level management role with responsibility to manage a departmental activity or function
•Exhibits sound management practices
•Fully knowledgeable of assigned product/functional area
•Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments.
•Excellent communication, negotiation and organizational skills
