Information and Insights is a department within Capital Group’s Investment Operations, with presence in Southern California, London, and Singapore. We are focused on a number of business critical activities such as uncovering and explaining the “why” of fund and portfolio results, supporting the Capital System through portfolio structures and analyst indices, and ensuring all data is compliant with regulatory and professional standards, just to name a few.
As a Results Manager based in Los Angeles, California, you will lead activities and operations related to the legal reporting activities for our ’40 Act funds. You will manage, coach, develop, and oversee the performance of a team of associates. You will have the opportunity to enhance capabilities and services, help set the strategic direction for your group, and anticipate future business needs. We are looking for a Leader who will use professional concepts, business objectives, and creativity to deliver effective solutions to complex challenges.
Responsibilities:
• Display broad knowledge of key performance measurement, risk, and portfolio analytics concepts
• Develop a team that leverages industry best practices, strategically utilizes technology, optimizes business processes, and intelligently manages risk
• Provide guidance and make decisions on complex and/or ambiguous operational issues, technical questions, and business processes
• Manage operational workflow and escalate issues as needed
• Keep abreast of internal and external trends and make recommendations to better align with evolving business priorities
• Plan, prioritize, delegate, and coordinate large scale projects
• Provide global and strategic context for associates when sharing information and making decisions
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5+ years’ experience in the Investment Management industry with operational oversight of significant scope and complexity
• Experience with Confluence Performance and Analytics Solutions, preferred
• Demonstrated experience leading people with responsibilities specific to training, guidance, and coaching
• Ability to manage ambiguity and complexity while being able to adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match shifting business demands
• Demonstrated ability to navigate and lead change
