Position Overview:
The Collateral Specialist II is responsible for executing tasks related to the responsibilities of the group, including providing quality assurance review for all new and renewed commercial loans booked on ACBS, review of all daily ACBS system reports, review of critical changes made to existing loans on ACBS, review of both internal and attorney prepared documentation to assist in the creation and/or clearing of documentation tracking ticklers, review insurance tracking ticklers including monitoring of all flood insurance to ensure adherence to corporate procedures, payment of real estate taxes through the ACBS escrow module and completion of annual tax escrow analysis and new loan analysis calculations.
Accountability:
• Perform quality assurance for all new and renewed commercial loans ensuring that loans were booked according to loan documentation and approvals obtained. Monitor that any and all corrections were completed.
• Review of daily system reports and critical changes made to the ACBS Loan System. Create tickets for any and all corrections/changes that need to be made based upon the review of reports. Track to ensure that changes have been completed.
• Review all collateral related document tracking exceptions, insurance tracking ticklers and clear related exception items based upon review of loan documentation received from the lending groups.
• Payment of real estate taxes through escrow module of ACBS. Obtain appropriate approvals to pay from the charters, utilize county websites to complete payments, reconcile real estate taxes paid.
• Complete annual real estate tax analysis using ACBS.
• Complete real estate tax analysis for new loans requiring escrow.
• Assist with research requests, audit reviews and department projects as needed.
Qualifications
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in an office or operations environment which services and supports complex commercial lending operations functions.
• Solid understanding of commercial lending functions, credit functions and general understanding of accounting basics.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of various types of collateral related to typical, as well as complex, commercial loan documents (both internally prepared and attorney prepared documents) and audit control procedures
