Profile Summary:
The Senior Accountant’s primary responsibility is reconcile, research, and review accounting processes relating to Fixed Assets. You will play a key role in providing accurate, valuable information to support Management decision making.
Profile Description:
• Lead in support of month end and quarter end, including fixed asset purchase capitalization, journal entry preparation and reconciliations.
• Research and advise on various accounting topics and transactions, as they arise
• Continually develop, expand and improve financial reporting procedures for Fixed Asset purchases, capitalization and expense.
• Develop, monitor and comply with internal controls over various processes (SOX compliance).
• Support the interim and year-end financial statement audit
• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of Fixed Asset Roll Forward and Depreciation expense schedules
• Assist in the implementation of reconciliation on Blackline reconciliation tool
• Coordinate projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting, treasury, tax and procurement teams
• Monitor offshore team performance and metrics
• Project work as assigned
• Other duties as assigned
Knowledge & Experience:
• 4-year bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and work experience required
• 5+ years accounting experience in public accounting or the financial
• services industry preferred
• CPA designation preferred
• 3-5 years experience with Fixed Asset Accounting
• Advanced Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups, H-lookups)
• Experience with PeopleSoft
• Blackline experience is a plus
