Prudential’s Actuarial COE Operations team is seeking a highly organized, customer-oriented Business Analyst to join our ranks. The person sitting in this role will be the driver of our newly established portfolio management framework. In this role, you will be supporting the Director of Portfolio Management for the Actuarial COE. You will be the usher, coordinator, and driver of the demand management process. You will ensure that each project is sufficiently defined and packaged for the prioritization and the ultimate scheduling.
You will take advantage of your strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills to make sure our business partners are cared for and that our conceptualized projects are carefully considered.
You will sharpen your project management, presentation and relationship building skills and begin to learn more about using SharePoint, Power BI, Tableau and Excel along the way.
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Serves as our project prioritization usher and coordinator
• Ensures data captured in the demand/prioritization processes is complete and as accurate as possible
• Monitors data for inconsistencies and completes necessary corrections to support accurate business reporting
• Prepares prioritization materials and agenda for monthly prioritization meetings
• Assists Portfolio Manager with data gathering/analysis as needed
• Creates/Distributes workplan once finalized
• Partners with Project Managers / Process Managers to gather information needed for project prioritization and scheduling
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Project/Process Management
• High degree of proficiency with Excel required
• Proven track record of analytical skills
• Strong partnering, problem solving and issue resolution skills
• Proven ability to communicate succinctly and clearly in written and verbal communications
• Demonstrated collaborator; ability to work well with others throughout the organization
• Strong organizational skills, with close attention to detail
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to prioritize effectively
Preferred Qualifications
• Entry level experience with SharePoint, Microsoft PowerBI or Tableau, or other data visualization software
• Experience in a PMO or another PPM organization is preferred
• Familiarity with Actuarial work is preferred
• Some experience with Cost Benefit Analysis and or Budget Mgmt. is preferred
