The Account Specialist works directly with clients who are managed by an Account Manager II or III, or directly with our Specialty Healthcare clients. The primary responsibility of this role is to handle the daily operational duties associated with proactive account service, retention of relationships and growth of all payment types. The focus is on operational quality, problem resolution, productivity, relationship building and customer satisfaction across a variety of payment platforms. By providing the day to day support of Health Services Financing clients, it enables the Account Manager II & III to become more strategic in nature; facilitating the business partnership with the executive level within the client organization. The Account Specialist must have strong oral and written communication skills, project management focus, be detail oriented, and employ necessary follow up skills. The Account Specialist must also maintain the ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task while supporting a variety of Account Managers and their portfolios.
The Account Specialist's daily routine will include, but is not limited to, the following:
• Exception Processing – facilitate necessary updates for enrollment
• Recourse Management – Process requests from internal and external clients to recourse accounts
• Training – ongoing client training and product navigation assistance
• Reconciliation – assist client with basic reconciliation needs
• Communication – ensure external and all internal teams, including commercial bankers & AM II/AM III, are aware of client activities, needs, and current project status
• Salesforce – data entry, validation, and uploading of proper documentation
• Business Reviews – assist Account Manager II or III in compiling data for client reviews
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm (10% travel required)
Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in related field
• 2 Years experience (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• 2 Years business to business or support experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong presentation skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Proven Customer Service skills
Preferred Qualifications
• PC exposure and experience in MS Office
• Previous accounting, marketing or software sales experience
• General knowledge of healthcare and consumer credit
