Commerce Bank is seeking a high-energy and experienced candidate to fill a role as Product Manager I, working closely with Commercial Card Sales, Account Management, Operations, IT, and Product Development. The Product Manager will be responsible for product development and product management for the Accounts Payable Card product.
Responsibilities include:
◦ Drive the strategic direction of assigned products
◦ Identify new revenue opportunities and manage product profitability
◦ Help lead efforts with management to help make a Build/Buy/Partner decision for a backup AP Card Platform
◦ Coordinating solution development functionality and process integration with internal bank partners, as well as selected third parties, enabling Commerce Bank to deliver a “Best in Class” AP Card Platform
◦ Consult with customers and our CommerceVantage Advisory Council to learn industry pain points and leverage the Voice of the Customer for future enhancements to our solution
◦ Develop internal and external communication plan for product launches and enhancements
◦ Assist in prioritization of enhancements
◦ Develop and document process for product launches
◦ Draft client facing communication for review by legal and compliance
◦ Update and present product roadmaps to management to keep them informed of enhancements and timing of development
◦ Collaborate with management to identify client functionality requirements and assist with communicating to the Sales and Account Management teams the agreed upon solution direction
◦ Researching and tracking trends within the Accounts Payable industry and how these trends could impact our customers
◦ Competitive intelligence and product positioning in the market
This position will interact with various teams throughout the bank to ensure seamless integration of our client’s experience. In addition, this position requires strong communication and technical skill sets to be conversant with C-level Executives of Corporations in particular with the CFO and CIO to articulate the value of our Solution, as well as be able to converse with designated Technical resources within the bank or within the prospective client. The position will also be responsible for ongoing support of our Account Management and Sales Teams to enhance product sales and drive additional revenue growth, as well as product demonstration skills. Also they will be available to leverage online training and client presentations via WebEx and/or online meeting technology and participate in targeted client seminars and trade shows.
Work Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Education:
Required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related field or equivalent experience

• MBA

• Strong technical acumen with an understanding of automated workflow
• Strong analytical problem solving and decision making skills
• Excellent oral and written presentation skills
• Experience in finding creative solutions interfacing with legacy systems, accounts payable process, workflow and approval processes and technology
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
Preferred
• Vendor management experience
• Experience with Agile project management methodology
• Pragmatic Marketing certification
• Payment systems, banking or financial services experience
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office and Salesforce.com
• Working knowledge of Commercial Card processing and supporting software services
(ERP Systems, Accounting Software, and Relational Databases)
• AP Industry experience is a plus
