SUMMARY:
The Loan Administrator is responsible for various areas of real estate loan closings including processing new loan requests, obtaining required documentation, coordinating loan closings with closing attorneys, creating electronic files, processing payments and payoffs, construction loan draw requests, A & D loan draw requests, loan renewals and loan exceptions. Maintain monthly and on-going reporting and other Builder Finance administrative duties as needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three to five years of loan operations experience
• Excellent understanding of loan accounting, operations and procedures
• Understanding of loan policies and procedures
• Must have knowledge of loan and legal documents
• Good interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills
• Must have intermediate to advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be detail oriented, highly organized and have the ability to prioritize multiple duties
• Must be flexible to changing priorities
• Must perform well under pressure and work within deadlines
• Must be a team player and must be able to work cohesively with others within the department as well as other areas of the bank
• Must be willing to work overtime as needed
• Participate and complete all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Receive new loan requests, obtain required documentation including appraisals with focus on compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare loan closing instructions, coordinate closings with attorneys
• Responsible for making sure loan closing documents are complete and accurate
• Fund initial disbursements for new loan closings, make necessary tickets and/or TMS entries for each loan and send to LOC for booking
• Follow up with closing attorneys for original closing packages, forward critical documents to LOC
• Follow up with closing attorneys for recorded documents and exception items, forward to LOC as received
• Coordinate inspections and process disbursements for construction loan draw requests and A&D loan draw requests
• Process incoming payments
• Create and maintain collateral release files, quote and process partial releases of collateral and payoffs, process quitclaim deeds
• Responsible for making sure the loans close in accordance with the loan approval (i.e. meets all parameters of the officer’s guidance line, correct loan amount, meets spec and other limitations/requirements, correct funding amount, etc.)
