Direct Reports: Loan Operations Specialists, Loan Operations Coordinators
SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing day-to-day activities of direct reports in Loan Operations and/or performs very complex, critical functions/tasks. Also acts as a resource for department regarding areas of expertise. Activities involve day-to-day capacity management of staff, resolution of procedural, regulatory, technical and employee issues. Assist senior manager with assigned projects and management of non-direct report staff as requested. In addition will assist with determining and implementing tactics based on strategic direction provided.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• College degree preferred but experience is the key qualification
• Minimum 3 years experience managing direct reports in a Commercial and Consumer Loan Operations environment
• In-depth knowledge of servicing Retail and Commercial loans including documentation and system support requirements
• Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements for Consumer and Commercial loan portfolios.
• Experienced team-builder who is an organized self-starter able to take the initiative and complete tasks without constant oversight. Able to handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Perform annual performance reviews along with an effective management plan consisting of goals for staff
• Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word and Excel)
• Proficient knowledge of Commercial and Consumer LAS platforms
• Participate in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for tasks/functions assigned to team are executed in compliance to Bank policy, regulatory law, interbank Service Level Agreements and investor guidelines when applicable
2. Manage team and individual performance using production and quality control metrics to meet goals
3. Effectively engage account officers, credit specialists, credit policy officers, special asset officers, audit, collections, and compliance to resolve issues and clarify procedures
4. Assist in establishing and maintaining department policy and procedure manuals to accurately reflect processes and process controls
5. Perform annual performance evaluations. Coach, mentor and perform disciplinary action as required for direct reports.
6. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to business partner, account officer and external customer inquiries and requests in a timely manner with a sense of urgency and positive attitude
7. Model behaviors critical to bank’s culture and adhere to corporate policies
8. Other duties as assigned
