Job Summary:
Excellent opportunity exists for a managing director to lead the Fort Myers team, which consists of approximately 12 multi-disciplined professionals. The teams have full service capabilities in trust, banking and investments.
Will develop, implement and communicate the overall strategy and will oversee, plan and direct the activities for the team, ensuring that resources are available to accomplish the business objectives. Will also have full accountability for team performance and profitability.
Major Duties:
1.Manages a subsidiary office. Conducts the performance management process, identifies
training and development needs, and establishes performance standards for the unit.
2. Determines staffing needs, makes hiring and firing decisions, handles salary administration, and ensures resources are available to accomplish priorities.
3. Participates in developing the business unit strategic plan and sets goals and priorities based on the direction set for the unit. Follows through to ensure objectives are met.
4. Responsible for all aspects of sales including researching potential markets, developing referral sources, making sales presentations to promote Northern's products and services.
5. Provides leadership and guidance to staff, fostering an environment which encourages
employee participation, teamwork, and communication.
6. Oversees all activities of a subsidiary office, developing calling programs, sales goals, and meeting the needs of the clients in the community.
7. Identifies and anticipates the needs for specific services and develops and promotes the subsidiary''s capabilities of providing those services.
8. Develops and maintains relationships with clients and prospects. Cultivates relationships in order to sell services to meet the specific needs of the client.
9. Responsible for maintaining relationships with sensitive clients and accounts involving complex tax and estate planning needs. Analyzes clients''
and prospects'' assets and determines appropriate plans and services.
10. Implements action plans for developing new business or to broaden existing client relationships.
Qualifications:
10+ years of progressive experience in trust, banking and/or investments as well as demonstrated leadership skills. Additionally, candidates must have demonstrated success in business development. Should have previous experience with change management and leading/implementing change.
Must have experience serving on Boards and must have demonstrated community involvement. The preferred candidate will currently reside in Fort
