The VP of Loan Boarding directs all loan boarding activity for the Consumer Lending Division, including daily funding volume, acquisition of Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSRs), ongoing configuration, data mapping, testing and deployment of the loan boarding software (ELI/LoanSphere Loan Boarding). The VP of Loan Boarding is responsible to establish and document procedures ensuring appropriate controls to support and scale increased loan boarding activity. Lead, direct, and mentor a team of loan boarding specialists to ensure accurate customer and loan information successfully boards to the loan servicing system (MSP).
Major Responsibilities:
• Perform annual performance reviews and establish SMART goals with reportable metrics for performance feedback.
• Mentor and develop staff.
• Direct data mapping, pre-boarding and post boarding activities for reoccurring MSRs.
• Create, maintain and certify procedures documenting loan boarding processes.
• Evaluate and implement opportunities to improve loan boarding quality and efficiency.
• Assign and direct resources to projects that impact loan boarding activities.
• Established partnership and routines with the Loan Originations team and monitor changes to the Loan Origination System (Empower).
• Ensure requirements are documented and provided for loan boarding projects.
• Ensure appropriate segregation of duties for ELI/LoanSphere Loan Boarding configuration, testing, technology change management, and deployment to production environment.
Qualifications
• Ability to work effectively on multiple priorities with strict deliverable dates.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline.
• 5 or more years of experience in Loan Boarding.
• 3 or more years of experience with MSP / ELI or LoanSphere Loan Boarding.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to document procedures, communicate issues, and transfer knowledge.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills, data mapping skills, and
leadership and interpersonal skills.
