Position Description Overview
This position is for a new member of the firm's Disaster Recovery team. The candidate is expected to have a working knowledge of the payments industry, as well as a working knowledge and experience with implementing and coordinating Disaster Recovery and/or Business Resiliency programs. Must be able to operate independently and manage projects and activities with various levels of stakeholders. The candidate will provide coverage for all Disaster Recovery functions, including, but not limited to: (1) Technology recovery requirements collection and analysis; (2) Plan guidance and oversight; (3) Testing facilitation; (4) Issue identification and remediation; (5) Vendor and partner recovery strategies and control/support for FFIEC Appendix J; (6) Program tool set management and support; (7) Client, regulatory examiner, and audit engagement; (8) Firm-wide committee representation as needed.
Job Responsibilities
• Global governance accountability or regional management responsibility for the Business Resumption, Disaster Recovery, and Crisis Management functions.
• Expectation is to provide the global or regional strategy for developing, implementing, and testing our plans and strategies for mitigating impacts to significant business disruptions.
• Key focus is on creating partnerships with program stakeholders in our lines of business, IT, support areas, and client service teams to ensure program awareness and accountability, and that program risks are properly identified and remediated.
• Continuous monitoring of significant business disruptions to our environment globally or within the assigned region of responsibility.
• Role may have staff and expectation is to coach, support, and mentor staff as needed.
Scope of Job
Develop and implement improvements and efficiencies in all areas of the program (BIA, plan development, testing, simulation exercises, incident monitoring/detection/triage, risk identification and remediation). Analyze enterprise functional areas to identify points of vulnerability and recommends mitigation strategies. Assist program stakeholders with development and maintenance of plans including assessment of potential business impact and definition of critical, time-sensitive functions.
Autonomy
Works independently, ability to exercise judgment and discretion in developing, applying and interpreting internal policies and procedures, ability to manage projects from inception to completion.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience required, 3-5 years relevant experience required.
• Industry Certification preferred, strong knowledge of business continuity planning and best practices.
