POSITION SUMMARY:
Distribution growth and expansion is a key component of the TIAA Life long-term strategy. The M Financial Group and Registered Investment Advisor Distributions are critical to our growth. The Sr Business Management Specialist will report to the Director of Marketing Operations and will partner closely with the respective M and RIA Marketing teams to provide support to 150+ M Member Firms and RIA Relationships across the country that specialize in selling life insurance to ultra-affluent individuals and investment advisory clients.
This person will work as part of a small team and will serve as a primary point of contact for a variety of tasks to provide concierge-level service to our customers. The role is very dynamic and will include responsibility for supporting the day-to-day operating activities involved in the running of TIAA Life’s distribution, participating on project teams and regularly interacting with others in areas across the company while representing distribution on various projects.
This individual needs to be extremely responsive, technically competent, have excellent communication skills, and be able to build productive long-term, internal and external, business relationships.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• (40%) Contracting & Appointments for M Financial Group:
◦ Manage and coordinate M Financial Group Firm and Producer contractingand appointments (face to customer (Member Firms and producers),
◦ Liaison to the E&O Contracting & Appointments team, Compliance, M New Business and Service Teams);
◦ Provide guidance and support regarding commissions, service and policy issue and assist with resolving any processing issues and concerns.
◦ Maintain M Member Firm staff and producer information: Update record systems – M Producer Portal, SalesForce, Sales Dashboard, Contracts and Appointments – sending termination notices when appropriate.
◦ Maintain M Selling agreements and schedules
• (30%) IAS & RIA Wholesaling team Project & Communication (via work from Distribution Marketing)
• (30%) Other
◦ Assist in preparing M Financial Group Production Reports (technical /excel work)
◦ Maintain Portals: Coordinating updates to content – both M Producer and Retail Portals, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) M Producer Portal
◦ DTCC Maintenance: Represent Distribution for RIA’s and M Financial to determine and approve on-going modifications and changes to files.
◦ Discretionary Efforts (DE): Conduct research and background work. Create and submit DE requests
◦ Participate in M Financial Service Advisory Group
◦ Assume responsibility for all incoming non-sales related inquiries from 3rd party distribution
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to make effective presentations
• Proven problem solving abilities. Excellent organizational skills and demonstrate the ability to follow through on projects to completion
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding and dynamic, high stress environment
• Ability to be flexible and work with changing requirements and priorities
• Must have demonstrated the ability to interact with individuals throughout the organization, from technical staff to executive staff.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe required
