Apply business and accounting knowledge to perform SEC financial reporting as well as preparation or review of monthly, quarterly and annual subsidiary financial statements. Collect and analyze financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance with company’s accounting policies and US GAAP. Assists external auditors as needed.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Participate in the preparation and review of all SEC filings including 10Ks, 10Qs, etc., which includes the information gathering process.
• Prepare or review monthly/quarterly/annual subsidiary financial statements.
• Prepare complex schedules, including cash flow statement and earnings per share.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive workpapers supporting external financial reporting.
• Assist in maintenance and review of XBRL.
• Assist with information request from external auditors during quarter and year end financial reporting processes.
• Assist in developing/maintaining adequate Sarbanes Oxley compliance process as it relates to required financial controls/disclosures.
• Ability to manage, mentor, and motivate new staff.
• Ability to facilitate meetings.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
• Requires a 4-year bachelor’s degree in accounting
• Requires 4 – 6 years financial reporting experience for a public company or external audit experience with a focus on public clients, preferably Big 4
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and Outlook)
