We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Baker Tilly Search & Staffing Executive Search practice in Minneapolis, MN!
The Research Associate is an integral part of our Executive Search recruiting team. This individual combines research and consultative skills to deliver top talent and excellent service to the Executive Search team through the identification and assessment of skilled leadership candidates. This Research Associate will be responsible for partnering with search consultants on searches for senior management level searches across all disciplines and industries, and will be directly responsible for full service search sourcing and research support.

Responsibilities
• Use a variety of tools, source, screen, track, and recommend qualified candidates
• Source passive candidates through networking, cold calling, complex internet searches and research
• Develop accurate, encompassing target source lists of companies and candidates appropriate to the search engagement.
• Identify and develop creative methodologies for sourcing a diverse group of high quality candidates
• Build a network of leadership talent across all business functions.
• Communicate with candidates (phone and email) throughout entire search and hiring process, including prescreening and assessing candidates using behavioral-based/targeted selection interview questions
• Schedules interviews, feedback conversations and other status update calls with candidates
• Review resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements and business need.
• Respond to candidate inquiries as appropriate.
• Responsible for updating database with candidate information as collected
• Assist in due diligence on candidates, including background and reference checks.
• Assist in developing a best practices environment for conducting research and investigating new sourcing methods to create innovative search strategies
• Recommend process and technology requirement to more efficiently meet the needs of the team
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• One to two-plus years of experience in sourcing, passive candidate identification, candidate vetting, and candidate development
• Experience with developing strategic sourcing initiatives along with having strong organizational, analytical, and detailed planning and project management skills
• Ability to cultivate, develop and maintain professional relationships at the executive level, calibrate candidate core competencies, and identify potential new business opportunities conversationally
• Comfortable presenting in front of peers, employees, executive level candidates and clients, along with business partners
• Articulate, cogent verbal communications skills and strong written communication skills, self-motivated and excellent time management skills
