About the Role
The role provides associate actuarial support within the Americas L&H In Force Management team to help protect and enhance the value of the in force portfolio and create new opportunities with clients. Analyze current Post Level Term ("PLT") premium structure and proposes more optimal solutions to clients. Monitors and evaluates PLT portfolio performance in order to set client level expectations and overall terms of trade assumptions. May contribute to other activities undertaken by the team. Ensures appropriate and consistent application of sound actuarial principles, methods and tools.
Essential Responsibilities May Include Subsets of the Following:
• Responsible for assisting in the creation of actuarial models, analyzing results and proposing PLT solutions
• Responsible for creating presentations for internal and client communications
• Responsible for adherence to terms of trade and documentation standards
• Responsible for reviewing other team members work to ensure adherence to terms of trade
• Responsible for compliance with the provisions of the Actuarial Development Program, including exam progression and participation in other educational opportunities
• Develop technical skills with software and systems such as Visual Basic, SAS, ALFA, AXIS, and ICE
• Responsible for assisting in responses to requests of clients, reinsurance partners, regulators, internal and external auditors, and rating agencies
About You
• Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail, good organization skills, and the ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
• Strong communication skills
• Successfully completed a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
• Completion of at least 2 Society of Actuaries exams
• Technical skills using a desktop PC, Excel and Access, including visual basic
