Job Description Summary
Responsible for ensuring that the product, services and promise of the Transamerica brand resonate with current and future customers and clients (i.e. consumers, employers, financial professionals). Work in close collaboration with the Brand Strategy & Marketing (BSM) group, including Sponsorships and Thought Leadership, Social, and Content Strategy, to ensure that every aspect of the brand personality and behavior is on ‘mission’. This role will also develop and sustain close working relationships with a range of departments, including Compliance, Marketing Services, Sales, Channel Marketing, and Business Development/Advanced Markets to ensure a strategic overview of the business and future market opportunities.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with BSM team members to drive overall marketing strategy and execution of tactical plans in support of brand, lead acquisition and lead nurture campaigns.
• Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels, including content creation, content curation, PPC, event management, publicity, social media, sponsorships and thought leadership.
• Serve as a partner to sales and business development in determining the viability of potential markets and marketing activity to achieve a business goal (e.g., brand consideration or preference).
• Help direct internal and agency teams to produce valuable and engaging brand content that attract and convert our target audiences.
• Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies and vendors.
• Manage our creative, media and other related agency and partner relationships.
• Ensure effective branded marketing communications, including the company website, print communication, and advertising campaigns.
• Analyze the effectiveness of marketing efforts including their contribution to the effectiveness of sales and marketing campaigns.
• Develop, reconcile, and forecast related marketing budgets.
• Research and evaluate marketing opportunities and demand for potential products.
• Mine for customer needs and insights, and determine solutions to meet those needs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Five years of marketing experience, preferably in an agency or working with an agency.
• Experience creating and producing content, including video, print ads, online advertising, etc.
• Proficiency using MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, Hubspot or Salesforce Marketing Cloud
• Experience working with collaborative / workflow systems such as Basecamp, Workfront or Stylelabs.
• Advanced skills using MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
