The Permissions and Continuity Senior Specialist is responsible for the administration of the system security protocols employed throughout the Service organization and handling moderate to complex issues associated with system access. The incumbant maintains intermediate knowledge of existing protocols and is responsible for the successful implementation of new corporate system security protocols as they are introduced by the Enterprises Technology Information Security group. These responsibilities include enhancing their knowledge of proposed changes prior to implementation and supporting operational readiness throughout the Service organization. The incumbant possess intermediate level knowledge of continuity planning and is responsible for supporting the maintenance of several business continuity plans for Service. This includes supporting annual coordination with the other continuity liaisons and Service leaders, pursuing updates from the several large teams that they support within Service, supporting coordination of all disaster recovery tests and collaborating on processes to sustain resiliency. The incumbant maintains strong knowledge of record retention requirements and supports the Records Sub- Coordinators for the various teams they support within Service, and in support of the Service Records Coordinator, pursuing compliance with all record retention requirements and the annual update of all record retention schedules. In this role, the incumbant will work closely with first line managers within the Service Organization, senior permissions & continuity associates, their manager and Enterprise Security to carry out their responsibilities.
• Participate in enterprise wide Security Liaison initiatives for the Service organization. These responsibilities include: understanding and following corporate security strategies, independently following standard operating procedures for use throughout the department, independent administration of the enterprise system tools used by Security Liaisons and providing guidance to managers to insure system access for their employees complies with corporate guidelines as well as role profiles.
• Independently complete Security Liaison responsibilities including: support the preparation of quarterly and annual recertification reports, research incidents appearing on the VONTU and Security Violations report, participate in assessments of the group's system access profiles and ensuring the timely completion of new employee on-boarding and system access requests as well as access terminations.
• Participate in deploying tactical and strategic initiatives involving system security, business continuity and records retention.
• Responsible for support the maintainance and updating of several business continuity plans for the teams they support. Participate in communication with these business leaders to understand impact to these plans throughout the year. In support of thier manager and sr. associates, participate in the coordination of disaster recovery exercise. Participate in assessing opportunities to enhance existing plans to improve continuity and employee communication.
• Support sr associated in compiling quarterly and annual sub-certifications in preparation for Executive Officer recertifications for all Mainframe and Web based administrative systems.
• Support the Records Retention Sub-coordinators to puruse compliance with record retentiona rules, maintenance of retention schedules and coordination of annual disposition days throughout Service.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree Preferred
2-4 years minimum experience
Possess intermediate knowledge and/or experience in a system administration or security oversight capacity. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience working with insurance and/or financial products preferred.
