Description
The Relationship Director is accountable to build and manage ongoing relationships with clients/plan sponsors and advisors to ensure that the established relationships meet the strategic business goals and objectives of client servicing, satisfaction, retention and expansion.
The Relationship Director is accountable for driving plan design, plan functions and other key factors, with the client and advisor, in order to maximize the client benefit relative to cost.
The Relationship Director is expected to provide relationship management expertise for qualified defined contribution plans, which requires significant industry and regulatory knowledge.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 - 7 Years of Experience
• Knowledge: Industry accreditation (or working toward), e.g., QPA, RPA, or CEBS or significant work related experience with demonstrated knowledge.
• Life/Health/Variable License and Series 6 and 63 licenses required
• In-depth knowledge of retirement service industry trends and profit drivers.
• Proven knowledge of regulatory compliance, fiduciary responsibility and disclosure requirements as they relate to qualified retirement plans.
• Expert knowledge of ERISA and other retirement plan legislation.
• In-depth knowledge of recordkeeping systems.
• Familiarity with the types and features of investment vehicles utilized in retirement plans.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, written and oral.
• Expert relationship management skills with a strong client and advisor focus and self-motivating drive.
• Proven analytical and in-depth organizational skills.
• Able to multi-task and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
• Ability to manage in unstructured situations with innovative and creative thinking.
• Provide regular feedback to management to identify any early warning signals that may negatively impact performance of client/advisor relationships.
• Participate on key strategic projects to address business issues.
• Meet with other members of the servicing team on a regular basis to review the current status of all assigned client/advisor relationships and to communicate with the team on an ongoing basis regarding all client issues and opportunities.
• Regional travel requirements, including some overnight travel.
