Responsibilities
This individual will be an integral part of the corporate accounting team and will be involved in all aspects of financial reporting, including SEC filings for Oaktree Capital Group LLC (NYSE: OAK) and financial reporting associated with subsidiaries and affiliates.
Primary responsibilities will include:
• Assisting in the preparation of SEC filings, including Forms 10-Q and 10-K. Assisting in the preparation of quarterly earnings releases to ensure compliance with GAAP and consistency with SEC filings.
• Reviewing XBRL tagging in SEC filings for accuracy and completeness.
• Interacting with external auditors on SEC disclosures, controls and documentation in review of financial footnotes and related disclosures;
• Assisting in the research and documentation of technical accounting matters to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting;
• Participating in the monthly/quarterly close process, performing various activities as assigned;
• Liaising with investor relations, corporate finance and other relevant departments to ensure that disclosure documents are accurately reported;
• Participating in special ad hoc projects and analysis to support the senior and executive management teams as assigned.
Qualifications
• Minimum 6-7 years relevant accounting or audit experience, including Big Four public accounting and ideally 3-5 years of SEC financial reporting experience at a respected company in any industry;
• Strong ability to interpret and apply GAAP accounting guidance;
• Strong reconciliation and analysis skills;
• CPA required; and
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
