Performs end-to-end analysis and design of participant portfolio Web applications for 401(K) Defined Benefit plans and Stock Plan services. Provides analysis leadership on complex systems analysis projects, often across subsystems and companies, in a matrix organization. Consults with business users to develop recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Leads and conducts interviews with business users to gather requirements, and understand technology needs as well as system and workflow challenges.
• Develops recommendations that address difficult and complex business needs and opportunities.
• Establishes full project life cycle plans for complex systems analysis projects, and defines project scope.
• Leads other analysts in the execution of documents on large and complex projects and monitors the quality and progress of documents created by other analysts.
• Designs new systems based on requirements.
• Defines test strategies, and coordinates user acceptance testing efforts.
• Communicates progress of multiple projects to management.
• Engages stakeholders on a regular basis and set expectations of internal and external stakeholders.
• Serves as industry subject matter expert, and identifies other subject matter experts who are the sources of requirements for large and complex projects.
• Participates in incident/crisis management to assess business impact and determine/facilitate workarounds, in concert with the production support organization.
• Advises on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
• Coaches and mentors junior product analysts and developers on systems analysis techniques and business workflows.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience designing Web-based transactions processing applications in a workplace benefits environment - defined contribution, defined benefit, or stock plan services.
Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing Web-based transactions processing applications in a workplace benefits environment - defined contribution, defined benefit, or stock plan services.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) analyzing the integration of content management using SDL Tridion and SOAP/REST Web services with Web-based transaction processing applications, including analysis of Web services request/response schema structure using XMLSpy.
• DE designing Web-based transaction processing applications according to Waterfall and Agile/SCRUM methodologies, including requirement, stories, and project tracking, using JIRA and RTC.
• DE designing use cases for Web application with respect to authorization and entitlement, including analysis of application logs and credential cookies using SPLUNK.
• DE writing SQL queries to extract data from relational databases, including MS SQL, Sybase, and DB2 databases, using AQT and RUMBA.
