Consults and facilitates with business users in order to capture business requirements and facilitates the design, development, and implementation of proprietary information systems and/or process solutions for complex business problems. Translates business objectives/requirements into analysis plans and functional system designs, for Fidelity’s proprietary applications and technology systems, primarily for the middle office. Analyzes and develops metrics and proprietary tools to measure process improvement opportunities and provide transparency on transaction processing. Periodically interfaces with senior management to understand high level stakeholder requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Performs end-to-end analysis at business unit and department level.
• Communicates analysis results to key project stakeholders, including deliverables, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Identifies systems, reporting, and analytical needs at the business unit and department level.
• Develops and implements proprietary automated systems and processes to enable associates to directly access reports.
• Designs and configures analytics reports to address business objectives.
• Schedules and maintains reports.
• Ensures automated reporting system for Personal Investing business unit associates to pull reports directly from the system.
• Creates dashboard views for different business users.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree (willing to accept a three year degree or foreign education equivalent) in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience in data modeling, data analysis, and data transformation within the financial industry.
Or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of experience in data modeling, data analysis, and data transformation within the financial industry.
Skills and Knowledge:
Candidate must also possess:
• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) performing data analytics of the customer journey across distribution channels -- phone centers, web and retail investor centers -- to identify process improvement opportunities to drive scale, efficiency, and quality improvements.
• DE using Alteryx, Tableau, and XTRAC to generate and collate data for analytical purposes; and managing projects using Agile tools and methodologies -- Scrum, Kanban and Jira.
• DE identifying KPI’s for operational improvement and building dashboards in Tableau for stakeholders.
• DE gathering and interpreting business and stakeholder requirements, functional, and technical requirements, analytical strategies, and data transformations to support and inform business decision making within a direct to consumer financial services company, including finance, distribution, products, marketing, sales, and service domains.
