JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to serve as the main administrative and support contact for the Human Resources Service Center (HRSC).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers the online ethics and compliance training, reports off cycle payroll check request, data entry from Human Resource forms and emails, processes retirement notification packets, administers new hire surveys and general office administration.
Understands and applies concepts of processes, procedures, workflows, and practices required to effectively resolve issue(s) in a timely and accurate manner.
Researches, analyzes and resolves issues utilizing the PeopleSoft application and other internal reference materials.
Demonstrates the ability to escalate to other areas of the HR Operations team when appropriate.
Position may be required to assist with inbound call volume as needed.
Ensures all policies and procedures are kept up-to-date and provide input for ideas and suggestions to improve workflow processes.
Position may be required to work on special projects/initiatives as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Secondary school degree or equivalent completion certificate required.
Some post-secondary education preferred.
Minimum of 1 year related experience and/or training preferred but not required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations.
Ability to solve problems in standard situations.
Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in PeopleSoft a plus but not required.
Must be able to manage multiple group email boxes simultaneously.
Must be organized and able to prioritize competing duties.
