JOB SUMMARY
Performs project controls for a segment of a construction and/or design program.
• Position is actually located in Greenville, MS.*
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, maintains, and validates master level schedules fro project concept through construction completion.
Provides costing and estimating, generates reports and presentations.
Coordinates with other management representatives in engineering, project and construction management as well as the client.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate work and assign tasks.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance, Construction Mgmt, and/or Business) and a minimum of 7 years related experience.
Experienced in cost estimating for commercial buildings.
Understanding of construction means and methods.
Prepare material, labor, and equipment cost estimates for concept designs, design development documents, bid documents, and change orders.
Analyze projects to ensure that project funding is adequate by performing estimates, cost forecasts, cost trends, and accrual of actual costs

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees and client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires intermediate analytical and quantitative skills
