As a member of the Technology organization, you will be part of the team that serves the needs of Santander Bank, N.A., including products and services for personal, business and corporate customers. The Chief Data Office (CDO) oversees the implementation and management of data for all of Santander in the US, to include Data Governance, Data Management standards and policy, Metadata Management, and Data Quality. The Data Quality Lead is responsible for defining and implementing a data quality business rules, measures and metrics for various key bank systems.
Responsibilities:
• Defines quality criteria including business rules and definitions
• Defines and oversees the implementation of data controls across data flows for which they are responsible
• Monitors ongoing measurement of rules & metrics to track progress and maintain levels of quality
• Ensures defective data found is remediated
• Assesses data quality rules & metrics to gauge the quality level of the system in scope (data profiling)
Qualification:
• 4-6 years of experience in Banking, with industry knowledge of Banking systems
• Strong data quality experience
• Experience in a consulting company in Data Quality Management, system audit, data audit or related field preferred
• MBA or other relevant graduate level degree preferred
• Experience in Financial Services, with a deep understanding of risk, compliance and finance
• Experience in performance management metrics
• Inquisitive thinking and problem solving curiosity, ability to challenge others
• Overall understanding of data quality tools and practices
• Proven experience with complex data quality issues and data remediation/data cleansing
• Strong skills in data analysis
