Job Description
The Project Manager, Site Optimization is responsible for ensuring the best possible online experience for visitors to the Discover Card Acquisition site. He/she is committed to improving the site visitor experience as well as improving the overall website conversion rate through AB / Multivariate testing across our web pages, at each stage of visitor interaction. He/she will be responsible for day to day execution - developing, implementing a testing roadmap that will result in a better overall online visitor experience while driving performance improvements for site visitors.
Responsibilities:
• Project manage the design, implementation and analysis of tests with a cross-functional team.
• Work closely with web analytics, usability and web insights teams to identify gaps, pain points and opportunities to test.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, throughput, test impact/quality, and to reduce/mitigate operational risks.
• Clearly and consistently document test activities, learnings and actions/decisions made as outcomes.
• Recommend based off results of tests which should be put into production, and partner with site analytics team to understand total impact of permanent change.
• Regularly meet with other business units for 2-way sharing of learnings.
• Promotes a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes
Required Skills/ Experience:
• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years professional work experience
• 2+ years in digital marketing, UX, product mgmt, merchandising and/or site testing and conversion optimization
• Strong critical thinking skills and an aptitude for problem solving; ability to break down seemingly complex problems into simplified and manageable parts
• Extreme attention-to-detail and ability to manage multiple projects & tasks simultaneously
• Proven ability to lead and motivate across multiple disciplines in order to accomplish a common goal
• Energetic and customer-centric; Ability to prioritize and focus while effectively managing multiple and shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible and positive attitude; proven experience partnering with technical and design teams, clearly articulating business priorities and managing through conflict
• Excellent analytical skills - ability to understand and interpret data within the context of the AB / Multivariate testing
• Excellent communication skills – ability to communicate complex test results findings and recommendations persuasively, in a compelling and easy to understand manner
Preferred Skills/ Experience:
• Experience in web analytics, user experience, digital marketing and testing, including Adobe Analytics Suite and Adobe Target or equivalent
• Basic knowledge of statistics and a/b testing principles
