Job Summary:
This position reports to the MUFG Americas Reputation Risk Officer and serves as a Subject Matter Expert (“SME”) for reputation risk related laws, regulations, policies, and standards. This position is responsible for supporting all Reputation Risk functions, including the support of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and analytical and reporting requirements.
Major Responsibilities:
• Support the identification, measurement and reporting of the MUFG Americas Reputation Risk Management framework.
• Provide support in all aspects of communication, including preparing risk reports, presenting to senior management and the board, and to the shareholder.
• Conduct ongoing analysis for the Reputation Risk Monitoring Report
• Assist with the administration of the Americas Reputation Risk Committee (“RRC”) and Reputation Risk Working Group, including preparation of materials for the RRC meetings and the Reputation Risk Monitoring Report.
• Serve as an SME and Risk contact for Reputation Risk matters for the Americas and respond to related questions from management and staff.
• Provide SME review of new or enhanced Product and Service Risk Assessments (PSRAs) from the Reputation Risk perspective. Provide verbal and written analysis, comments or advice concerning reputation related risks or issues presented by the PSRAs. Work and consult with sponsors and impacted business areas to address Reputation Risks presented by these proposals.
• Maintain a Reputation Risk Register to monitor impacted products and services, including remediation activities and restrictions / conditions.
• Maintain a tracking log for Reputation Risk PSRA reviews.
• Assist in development of Reputation Risk Appetite Metrics and Reputation Risk Key Risk Indicators (“KRIs).
• Participate in ongoing reputation risk analysis.
• Assist in the update of Reputation Risk policies and procedures, metrics and reporting.
• Assist with the development and implementation of enterprise-wide Reputation Risk training content.
• Participate in regular meetings with the lines of business, as necessary, and the RRC and Reputation Risk Working Group.
• Perform negative news review on related clients or industries that may be presented before the RRC.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree required (B.A./B.S. or equivalent).
• 4 to 8 years of work experience with related experience in other areas, preferably financial services industry.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment having an impact on the products and services that the organization offers.
• Experience operating in first or second line functions in financial services.
• Strong analytical skills & problem solving capabilities.
• Strong organizational, communication, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and changing environment and under tight deadlines; work well under pressure.
• Ability to multi-task, adapt well to changing priorities and effectively prioritize workflow to meet critical deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to work independently and make decisions.
• Professional certifications, preferred.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationship with regulators externally and key internal stakeholders in a global environment.
• Proficient in Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
