Primarily functions as a project manager and internal consultant for Marketing in defining, designing and implementing campaigns and programs that support senior management's strategic objectives.
Develop, implement and manage marketing programs for assigned business units. Acts as a liaison between IT/BIA, product management, segment and Marketing departments.
Responsible for identifying, designing and delivering solutions to improve acquisition, merchandising, sales and retention campaigns. Responsible for managing major marketing projects and providing direction to project team working both independently and with marketing managers.
Major Responsibilities:
70% Manage project implementation in support of marketing plan/program objectives. Coordinate efforts of multiple functional areas, monitor progress and make recommendations on work flow and timeliness to achieve completion of approved marketing programs in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner. Work closely with business units and other marketing managers to foster collaboration among business units and segments.
Represent assigned product for various projects within the Bank to improve sales results, cross-sell programs and customer retention. Schedule and lead project kick off meetings and regular status meetings.
Develop the business specifications, test and implementation plans. Develop the project plan, task list and timeline. Report project status to Marketing and Retail Banking management.
20% Provide support and back up for internal communications channels. This includes Retail Portal, Discovery Line, UBTV, Marketing Bulletins, Marketing Calendar and other internal communications for retail banking.
10% Assist marketing managers with collateral development/management. Potential areas of assistance would include Tridion updates, assisting with repricing effort, collateral certification, and inventory management.
Qualifications
Requires 5+ years of direct work experience in managing large projects. Certification in project management preferred.
Requires 3+ years of professional marketing work experience and a moderate level of knowledge of marketing fundamentals as applied to financial services. Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Well-developed knowledge of Marketing, Retail Banking, Business Banking, and Product Management. Experience working with agencies, compliance, product, programming staff or participating in development projects supported by such staff.
Excellent leadership skills and ability to communicate and obtain concurrence on issues. Must have demonstrated work experience in managing multiple projects working cross-functionally with internal and external partners, agencies. Ability to manage change and work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent PC skills with a broad understanding of PC software. Familiarity with SharePoint would be highly desirable. Self-motivated with independent work experience.
