This is an entry-level Claims Adjuster position, which is responsible for confirming coverages, completing a liability investigation in order to determine the party at fault, negotiating settlement values and paying claims as quickly as possible. The environment is an extremely fast-paced, continuously changing and highly production- based where managing an inventory of claims is critical. Along with managing an inventory, which can be high at times (due to the seasonal nature of claims), you will be responsible for making decisions regarding the claim through investigation and problem solving. The ability to problem solve, multi-task, and navigate quickly through multiple systems is crucial to the success of this role.
This is an extremely important position as you will be working directly with our customers who may have been involved in a car accident. Our customers expect to discuss their claim with someone who will not only handle it knowledgeably, effectively, and efficiently; but also someone who genuinely cares about them and what they are going through. The ability to clearly communicate with the customer as well as having compassion is essential to the success of our business.
Education Requirements: Four-year college degree
Schedule: Monday through Friday, must be able to work until 6:00 PM or later for the first year of employment.

Job Summary
Investigates, determines responsibility, confirms coverage, establishes damages, and negotiates settlement of claims. Will also be required to maintain an active adjusters license in states where required.
Essential Job Functions
Conducts office investigation on assigned cases, confirms coverage, determines responsibility, establishes damages, reports status, and negotiates settlement (has authority to make payment of assigned claims within prescribed limits). Adjusts all types of claims. Reviews documentation on damaged property and vehicles, and determines claims related damage. Reviews and adjusts estimates provided on the cost of repair or replacement of damaged or stolen property and vehicles. May create damage estimate to establish the claim payment. Determines and reports on subrogation potential. Refers potential salvage vehicles, personal property, and miscellaneous salvage recovery to the Salvage COE. Reports theft, fraud, and arson losses as required to federal, state and industry agencies. Performs most duties on an individual basis, and work has a direct bearing on Management results. Represents the Company from a public relations standpoint and must conduct oneself as a member of Management at all times. Telephone and electronic communications are a major part of activity and include policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, repair facilities, contractors, police and fire departments, state and county fraud and arson personnel, special investigators, attorneys, expert witnesses, members of the medical profession and all other persons incident to the investigation and processing of claims.

Education Requirements
Four-year college degree required.
Experience Requirements
Successful completion of the Office Claims Representative Certification process required, including all prerequisites and exams. External candidates have 6 months from the date of hire to complete the process, and should have a minimum of 12 months prior claims experience.
