GLOBAL COMPLIANCE
Our division prevents, detects and mitigates compliance, regulatory and reputational risk across the firm and helps to strengthen the firm’s culture of compliance. Compliance accomplishes these through the firm’s enterprise-wide compliance risk management program. As an independent control function and part of the firm’s second line of defense, Compliance assesses the firm’s compliance, regulatory and reputational risk; monitors for compliance with new or amended laws, rules and regulations; designs and implements controls, policies, procedures and training; conducts independent testing; investigates, surveils and monitors for compliance risks and breaches; and leads the firm’s responses to regulatory examinations, audits and inquiries. You'll be part of a team with members from a wide range of academic and professional backgrounds, such as law, accounting, sales, and trading. YOUR IMPACT
Are you passionate about consumer lending and consumer banking? We’re looking for a Compliance Vice President to join our Digital Finance compliance team to support our credit, fraud, servicing, collections and contact center operations and activities. You would use your skills, ideas and leadership to provide guidance for integrating new requirements, enhancing policies, procedures and processes, and providing oversight of operational activities.
OUR IMPACT
Our Digital Finance compliance team partners with all functional areas of the consumer banking business to advise on business strategy, develop compliant processes within the business, implement compliance processes, systems, and digital tools for identifying, measuring, and mitigating risk and report on the status of such risk. From day one you will be involved in building the consumer business within the Firm
RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
• Provide advice, guidance and insight to compliance and business teams on operational issues or emerging consumer compliance issues
• Ensure the Bank maintains a sound portfolio with respect to compliance with state and federal laws and regulations and Bank lending or deposits policies and procedures
• Facilitate support for operational activities, including:
• Oversight of resolution of identified or escalated matters
• Supporting process chance management, including advising on compliance requirements
• Supporting technology enhancement to facilitate business and compliance processes
• Developing and providing training
• Approving operational enhancements and remediation activities to address risk and enhance customer experience
• Provide and analyze trends and periodic reports detailing risk-related process gaps
• Assist the relationship with regulatory agencies, examiners, internal auditors and other company team members and assists with action plans created as a result of examinations, audits or internal testing.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent military experience
• 5 years of financial services compliance experience, with specific knowledge of consumer finance and digital retail banking
• Demonstrable experience working with consumer finance operations, with a specific focus on providing effective training programs and oversight
• Strong understanding of consumer or retail focused businesses
• Must be self-directed, organized, positive, driven, detail oriented, able to manage others, and effective in a fast-paced changing environment
