Plans, organizes, and manages the operations of the finance department within lease administration, including the lease audit functions. Develops, recommends and implements policies and procedures to ensure sound fiscal planning, control, and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Organizes and formally supervises the work and performance of assigned staff. Collaborates with Manager to establish performance objectives for department staff and monitors and reports on accomplishments.
Conducts and oversees the preparation, analysis, and reporting of lease administration budgets, reforecasts, variances, and financial performance metrics. Provides information to the leadership team on department's financial performance.
Identifies and analyzes financial data to monitor and report on progress to budget plan. Develops and recommends corrective action plans to management to remedy shortfalls while addressing long-term profitability issues.
Ensures all fees are billed to and collected from clients in a timely manner.
Interprets, develops, recommends, and implements department policy, procedure, and process changes. Regularly reviews finance department, lease audit, and document control operational processes for the purpose of streamlining and improving productivity.
Collaborates with department leadership to test pricing strategies that will allow competitive positioning in the market while achieving financial goals.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides formal supervision to individual employees within single functional or operational area. Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action and termination. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Plans and monitors appropriate staffing levels and utilization of labor, including overtime. Prepares and delivers performance appraisal for staff. Mentors and coaches team members to further develop competencies. Leads by example and models behaviors that are consistent with the company's values.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with Accounting, Finance or Real Estate plus a minimum of seven years financial reporting and analysis. Experience in property management or real estate accounting preferred.
CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
CPA preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Advanced knowledge of computer software and hardware (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite Products). In depth understanding of lease administration functions and services. Ability to work well under pressure. Advanced organizational skills, attention to detail.

Decisions made with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause long-term impact to co-workers, supervisor, department and/or line of business.
