Description
The Risk Analyst reports to Corporate Concentration Risk Management and is responsible for refinement of existing portfolio performance analytics, supporting analysis for risk appetite and risk limits, and development of new analysis and reporting requirements.
Duties include the following activities:
• Support monthly and quarterly reporting of portfolio concentrations, including trend analysis, current and emerging risk profiles, additional metrics as developed
• Aid in data capture from front end receivable source systems, credit information reporting, Enterprise Data Warehouse, etc. for purposes of reporting, scenario analysis, and stress testing to support/establish limits and identify additional product/sector concentrations
• Assist in bi-annual (or more often as necessary) stress testing of concentration limits, modeling of current and future portfolios, and project planning for enhancement of corporate portfolio modeling capabilities
• Manage and improve risk reporting and analytics for senior management
• Develop and manage MIS resources, ensuring data integrity
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• BA/BS (mathematics, economics, business)
• 4+ years related professional experience
• Preferred MA/MS/MBA (mathematics, economics, business)
• 3+ years related professional experience (credit, risk, banking, etc.)
• Excellent management, presentation, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across departments and reporting structures to accomplish objectives
• Ability to negotiate professionally and persuade others
• Background in statistical analysis and financial and risk modeling
• Knowledge of credit and risk analysis and related computer systems and software
• Understanding of data management and mining principles and experience with databases and analytical software
• High proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with SQL and SAS or other similar programming languages
