Position Summary
The Treasury Specialist, Cash Management plays an important role in the organization by performing a number of activities related to the company’s Treasury functions. The role is primarily responsible, under close to moderate supervision, for preparing and inputting journal entries, monitoring cash balances in corporate accounts and preparing transfers in order to adjust account balances.
Essential Functions
• Monitor and track daily cash flow activity and adjust balances to align with cash requirements.
• Wire miscellaneous funds; obtain signatory approval of wire transfers according to established authority approval guidelines/limits.
• Ensure daily and monthly activity related to operating accounts is accurately recorded and reconciled.
• Prepare and post journal entries to the General Ledger (via LoanVision).
• Perform multiple account reconciliations as well as daily bank reconciliations.
• Correctly enter, track and record fixed assets for both Corporate and Branches into i5 system (i5 system determines how much depreciation should be booked.
• Book daily cash flow activity (activity obtained from reports pulled from bank throughout the day); obtain backup (typically provided by individual creating activity); follow up with appropriate individuals to obtain necessary backup.
• Assist in administrating the upfront deposit system (ClearTran) by setting up new users, answering questions and issuing refunds to customers.
• Ensure accuracy of work, follow up on missing/incorrect items, and elevate exceptions and atypical issues when necessary.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices.
• Cross-train in other Treasury functions; act as a back-up when needed.
• Perform other duties and projects (to include both short and long term projects), as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, along with one year work experience in accounting-related positions with similar job duties required.
• Mortgage banking experience preferred.
• General knowledge of accounting principles, including debits and credits, reconciliations, balance sheets and income statements.
• General understanding of overall mortgage process rules and regulations, policies and ethical standards pertaining to wire transfers.
• Highly organized and detail oriented; ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment required.
• Ability to analyze situations and choose appropriate course of action to resolve issues.
• Highly proficient with data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• 10-key by touch preferred.
• Prior experience using document retention software; Blitzdoc preferred.
Supervision
• Moderate supervision required, depending on experience
• Limited judgment and discretion used in the execution of core job responsibilities; follows procedures and escalates complex issues for advice and resolution.

Requirements
Physical: Work is primarily sedentary; mobility in an office setting.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
Audio/Visual: Ability to accurately interpret sounds and associated meanings at a volume consistent with interpersonal conversation. Regularly required to accurately perceive, distinguish and interpret information received visually and through audio; e.g., words, numbers and other data broadcasted aloud/viewed on a screen, as well as print and other media.
Environmental: Office environment – no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
