Duties and Responsibilities
1. Builds and delivers data based analytic models and reporting projects to facilitate business strategy and solutions. Requires deep knowledge across multiple business functions plus the ability to work with the full suite of reporting tools, technologies, applications, and databases.
2. Provides consultation and actionable guidance on the design, preparation, and delivery of data based models that translate business specifications and informational needs into tangible and actionable insights, as well as reporting solutions for business partners, through an understanding of both business solutions and available data variables.
3. Provides diagnostics and light analytics to identify trends and underlying drivers for relevant reports.
4. Serves as a key subject matter expert in the ongoing development and operation of a data warehouse and business intelligence architecture. Collaborate with Data Quality group as a key input and subject matter expert to the design of all data sets documented by Data Governance.
5. Produces and maintains standard periodic reports and performs ad-hoc reporting to meet clients’ needs by incorporating data visualization to effectively demonstrate actionable insight. Designs interactive reporting packages and conducts training sessions on tools and data sources to encourage self-provisioning. Performs checks and audits of various data sources and methodologies to ensure data is accurate and complete, as needed to ensure quality (including peer work reviews).
6. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training & experience
• Minimum of three of more years progressive experience in data and reporting role.
• Strong, demonstrated analysis and problem solving skills.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Advanced knowledge of one or more of the following: COGNOS, Excel, MS Access, Datameer, Anaconda, Thoughtspot, Tableau.
• Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple initiatives.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to organize and present information in a clear and concise way to a variety of audiences.
• Organizes and prioritizes tasks and proposes work assignments so as to successfully complete projects in a timely manner.
• Communicates to business clients, technical teams and leadership in a consistent manner making complex technical issues and solutions clear, simple, and understandable.
