Position Overview: Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Accountant within the Mortgage Loan Financial Reporting Team. This position will be responsible for financial and management reporting of loans on the Mortgage Loan System for the General Account and Third Party Clients.

Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Senior Accountant within the Mortgage Loan Financial Reporting Team. This position will be responsible for financial and management reporting of loans on the Mortgage Loan System for the General Account and Third Party Clients.
Responsibilities:
• Complex accounting and reporting related work for the general account and unaffiliated management clients related to the real estate portfolio and the servicing of mortgage loans
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports for general account and unaffiliated clients
• Responsible for adherence to company’s framework of internal controls
• Maintains good working relationships with third party asset management clients
• Works with both internal and external customers to ensure proper reporting of financial data
• Seeks out potential areas of improvement (for example, workflow, automated processes)
• Identifies, researches and recommends solution for areas of concern in relation to accounting information
• Maintains current business procedure and process documentation
• Participates in system testing for system upgrades, new systems, etc.
• Participates on project teams
• Eager to share information with the team
• Exhibits flexibility to perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years’ experience, with a degree
• Strong customer service and relationship management skills
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities daily
• Detail oriented, accurate, and analytical
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and individually
• Proficiency with MS Office
Preferred Qualifications:
• Solid knowledge of accounting area preferred (for example, investments, mortgage loans)
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
• Willingness to take on new projects
• Strong organizational skills, effective judgment
• Background with Business Objects a plus
Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
