Job Description
Everest Global Services, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd., is seeking a Business Analyst in our Technology Services department, residing in our headquarters in Liberty Corner, New Jersey.
Job Summary
The Business Analyst within the Reinsurance Applications Team supports a wide variety of applications for the Everest Re enterprise. They are often required to participate on concurrent disparate projects, ranging from developing, enhancing or maintaining in-house developed applications to implementing vendor applications within any of the following domains: Reinsurance Underwriting/Accounting/Claim, Pricing Tools, Document and Workflow Management, and Reporting and Analytics. This is a growing organization looking for highly productive and energetic individuals.
Core Responsibilities
• Work with the business community to understand their business objectives by analyzing, defining and formalizing business processes and requirements, and recommending approaches that drive results and enable the business to achieve its goals
• Act as a liaison between the client area, technical organization, and other affected areas in planning, directing and conducting the analysis of complex business problems
• Understand and translate business requirements to ensure delivery of appropriate and high quality solutions by maintaining traceability through development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, production verification and ongoing maintenance
• Integrate business and technology functions to ensure comprehensive business solutions are implemented
• Work with project managers to map business requirements to project deliverables, resource planning & project plans. Provide input into project plans, cost and/or resource estimating activities. May function as project lead on smaller efforts
• Present and facilitating a variety of formal and informal meetings: one-on-one, small and large groups
Qualifications
Must have experience in the following skills:
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
• Knowledge of SQL queries is highly valued

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to effectively plan, facilitate, and participate in meetings with employees from all organizational levels
• Ability to manage tasks/projects with aggressive deadlines/time-sensitivity
• Ability to work both as a member of a team and independently as required
• Critical thinking and translation of business needs into technology solutions
Education/Work Experience
• BA/BS Degree preferably Business Administration, Computer Science or Accounting OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience.
• 5 –7 years of experience in information technology business analysis
• Experience in Agile software development desirable
