Job Description Summary
Responsible for creating and implementing a strategic community presence throughout the Southern California Division to lead the Bank's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to promote a culture of community engagement across all business lines and functions.

Essential Job Functions
• Promotes the Bank’s CSR objectives in the areas of entrepreneurship, youth, energy transition, and local impact while ensuring the Bank continues to meet its Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) responsibilities.
• Implements programs and initiatives in support of the Bank’s overall CSR strategy and communicates those efforts across local markets.
• Builds strong relationships with community leaders and local governments. Represents the Bank in various community functions related to charitable or community development activities. Acts as Bank liaison with various internal and external stakeholders.
• Develops and manages outreach programs for Low-to Moderate-Income (LMI) populations. Provides guidance and direction to individuals and communities focused on affordable housing and insert expectation around leading to impact, tacking, results, telling our story in CSR, partners with organizations that create opportunities for emerging small businesses.
• Reviews requests for charitable donations and directs strategic distribution of such contributions.
• Researches complex requests, analyzes and summarizes data for reports and special projects. Produces reports and makes recommendations to senior management on community affairs programs and achievements.
Qualifications
Required Experience
• Requires deep knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• Typically viewed as a specialist within discipline.
• May have broad knowledge of project management.
• Requires 7 years minimum prior relevant experience.
Education
• Bachelor's Degree, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
Skills
• Experience in CSR.
• Proven ability to influence and engage lines-of-business.
• Good knowledge and understanding of the banking industry, CRA, and related community development issues.
• Ability and desire to engage diverse internal and external partners at various levels.
• Excellent oral, written, listening and presentation skills.
• Capable of functioning in a team environment while executing individual responsibilities.
• Ability to travel 25% of time.
• Advanced business development, public relations and project management skills.
• Management experience with community based programs in the non-profit, government or private sector.
• Experience in service delivery to LMI populations.
