You'll assist Human Resources Management in the development of the holistic strategy for the function as well as leading and executing full lifecycle recruiting in support of a book of the senior-level searches across the bank. This includes developing and executing robust recruiting strategies through research; cold calling; candidate development, assessment and presentation; negotiation of complex offers and relocation packages; and closing of new hires. As a strategic advisor, you'll be expected to bring robust market knowledge to inform talent decisions with a goal of building diverse senior leadership talent at Western Alliance Bank and its affiliates.

Responsibilities
Drawing on business and market knowledge, serves as a strategic consultant to executive leaders and HR Management to develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies to support defined talent needs. Rigorously assesses candidate talent, makes hiring recommendations, and develops long-term relationships with potential candidates. Researches industry competitive intelligence and analyzes external market trends to inform talent and organization decisions as well as assist with workforce planning and provide for opportunistic hiring of talent; Conducts market mapping projects in support of defined initiatives.
Builds and executes search strategies which include target lists, candidate assessment criteria, sourcing methodologies and tools, research, proactive cold calling and candidate development, retained search firm selection and management (when appropriate), assessment and presentation of a qualified and diverse candidate slate, interviewer preparation and coaching, feedback collection and synthesis, reference checks, and offer crafting and negotiation. Communicates appropriately, proactively, and consistently with hiring managers, HR partners, search firms and contract research firms, and all external contacts and potential candidates (regardless of that individual’s eventual disposition on the search); ensures a positive client and candidate experience.
Expected to manage an average of 8-12 senior recruiting searches and projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a college or university and 7 or more years related experience or, 10 or more years related experience. Work related experience should consist of relevant experience in the financial industry involving senior level positions up to C-Suite engagements.
Intermediate knowledge of general banking, including understanding of bank products, services, and regulations, policies and procedures, with an emphasis in commercial banking.
Superior oral and written communication skills with well-developed business acumen including the ability to produce executive level presentations.
