POSITION SUMMARY:
As a key member of the Individual Advice & Planning Solutions team, the primary function is to deliver value to our stakeholders (internal and external) through development, maintenance and adoption of online education and advice solutions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Provide clear direction to Digital partners in the development and deployment of online education and advice solutions as it relates to advice and planning standards.
• Strong partnership with application product owners and IT to ensure leverage of existing tools/engines as appropriate and consistency of advice delivered.
• Oversee strategic integration, monitoring and evaluation of online solutions, consistency with design and profitability; ensure solutions are put in place to address gaps.
• Develop and lead implementation of Digital Advice Strategy that provides, consistent, client/advisory experience, seamless product integration, and integration of direct and assisted platforms.
• Responsible and accountable for the development of the strategic blue-print that enables seamlessness and consistency of advice throughout customer experiences.
• Provide organization insight on industry challenges/opportunities and competitive positioning. Actively engage in digital/robo fintech forums and provide insightful perspective to advice & planning team as well as key partners.
• Recommend key business and platform strategies to management; support a culture of compliance, ensuring that adherence to government and self-regulatory requirements/policies takes place.
Job Complexity:
Lead work efforts to develop & maintain platforms and products that address near and long term opportunities. Responsible for developing vision to deliver advice digitally across channels. Working with stakeholders, product, distribution, IT and operations leads, develop and implement enhancements in line with overall business strategy. Prepare key planning documents for senior management and boards/board committees.
Interaction:
Key relationship manager for business and functional units across the company as it relates to online advice. End to end responsibilities require interaction with leaders and employees in business and functional partner organizations across TIAA. Program leadership role requires responsibility to drive partner organizations in order to achieve required business results. Works directly with key client-facing staff and internal stakeholders. Develops, maintains and strengthens relationships with key business partners to ensure the delivery of service and value.
Oversight / Freedom to Act:
Ensure presence of standards and procedures to support operational needs of the business in a flexible, efficient, and secure environment. Develop departmental business plans and assume responsibility for successful, efficient implementation of these plans. In partnership with IT, creates cost/benefit analysis for platform initiatives with detailed assumptions and forward projections. Monitor performance of program team day to day functions to ensure that key business objectives are met.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3 or more years of experience delivering digital experiences in Financial Services / Banking industry
Preferred Qualifications:
• 5 to 10 years of experience in digital delivery of advice and financial planning solutions.
• Industry awareness, particularly with advice and financial planning.
• Familiarity with key vendor solutions
• Strong experience in financial planning and related software tools
