Position Description
Threat Hunt is looking for an experienced distributed systems developer to join its team. Threat Hunt?s mission is to seek out attacks against the Morgan Stanley network, to develop defensive strategies, and to reduce risk to Morgan Stanley assets. The new Threat Hunt team member is to develop cutting edge technologies to help in defending Morgan Stanley?s networks, partner with multiple organizations across the Firm, and produce actionable outputs from analytics.
The following will be expected of the candidate
Help implement and optimize system features in the Threat Hunt technology stack
Use offensive operational experience to assist in defensive analytic development
Troubleshoot system and analytic issues and implement solutions
Work closely with partner organizations to diagnose security related system anomalies
Self-motivated individual and creative thinker who will take ownership of tasks and projects, able to work with the team, and manage time and tasks effectively and independently
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to understand complex problems and requirements, an aptitude for translating these problems into workable designs and solutions, and will possess a keen eye for detail.
This position is based in Baltimore, MD
QUALIFICATIONS
Skills Required
10 years experience
In-depth experience in protocols, distributed system design and development
Strong experience with high speed packet capture environments
Comfortable working in a Linux based environment
Ability to work in a team environment is a must
Ability to work with customers, gather requirements and create solutions
Skills Desired
General understanding of Linux systems
Experience in developing complex systems in a variety of languages
Knowledge of modern distributed systems architecture (Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
Understanding of basic machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts
Experience in working in a high bandwidth team setting
Experience in implementing cyber security analytics
Experience in working with raw PCAP data
